Holiday -- I'm Missing You

Okay,  I admit ... I miss the holidays.   It was SO nice to have boys home from college and have time off work.  I loved having the time off to rest, relax and recharge.   I definitely found some creative MOJO!  That's good, use it while it's in house.  

This week at ABC Challenges our challenge is CAS - Clean and Simple.   I sure struggled with this one, "white space" is hard for me.   Even Scrapping I'm not so good at CAS but that's what challenges are for --- to stretch your creative boundaries and this one did that for me.   My DH was funny,  he said,   "I like that one honey."   Wouldn't ya know,  he likes CAS,  LOL!

Perk Up

Between Holidays, Flu Bug and Cold Weather ... this seemed like a tough week even though it was a short week.  I definitely needed a little help gettingthe MOJO going in the mornings.  It's all good though because over the holidays I discovered some yummy coffee - DD Holiday Peppermint Mocha.   If you haven't tried it yet, if you're a coffee lover, hurry and get yourself some before it's gone until next year.  I even had some Chocolate Carmel Creamer to add and mmmmm... YUM!   It absolutely made the mornings a little sweeter. 

Well,  Day #6 of 100 by 100.   It's all good!

January 5 - SCS Crafty Girls Blog Hop

Woot!  Woot!   It's the 5th of the month and that means it's time for the SCS Crafty Girls Blog Hop!   I can't believe it's going on our 2nd year together!   We said good-bye to some friends from 2012 and we have some new SCS Crafty Girls for 2013!   It's all good.    Stamping and scrapping are great hobbies but sometimes there is more time to spend getting cards, page and blog posts done than others.   It makes for a good flow.   

This month our Featured Crafty Girl is Jeannette  (SCS:  Forest Ranger).    She loves all things nature as you can tell by her SCS Forum Name.   I CASED this card from Jeanette's March 2011 Gallery.   I knew as soon as I saw it,  this was the card I wanted to make.   It goes great showing off my new stamps from "Your Next Stamp".   Isn't that little bird CUTE?!    It's called Holiday Joy Robin.   It was perfect for my Day #5 card for "100 by 100" Challenge ... after all, we're supposed to be using stash and now that he's in my stash, he needed ink.    This fun paper I picked up at Archivers, it's Doodlebug Sweet Tweets.

Brrr ... It's Been Cold Here

Oh Yeah,  TGIF!   We have a saying at work,  "it's almost Friday" ... it seems to make everything more bearable and then when it really is Friday,  we feel like celebrating!  So for today, YAY!    I love this snowman stamp from Penny Black but there is only so many ways you can color it.  I sent cards out already this year using it and I made 2 of these for my [Friends That Scrap] 2+2 Card Partners.   Our theme was "Winter".   I'm not sure what I was saving this Basic Grey Paper for ... something ... but I had 1 piece left of Dasher paper and it's now cards!  Yay for using stash...so far it's Day #4 of our 100 by 100 and I'm keeping up.   I'm sure it will get more crazy at time goes on.

Wait for the Lord

I don't know where I got this stamp but it was in my stash and was perfect size for the sentiment box.  This started out closer to this week's MOJO Monday #274 sketch but I took a little detour by adding some extra paper,  it just needed "something".  

The bird is from my CTMH Art Philosophy Cricut Cartridge, it's one of my favorite cut outs.   I'm trying to use up this cute MME 6x6 Lost & Found Pad I have so you'll see more cards w/ these colors.  It's not that I don't like it but as part of the "100 by 100" challenge I'm in on SCS we're supposed to be using up stash and this has been in my stash for awhile.   I got it when HL was having a 50% off sale...and there it sat.  Glad to be using it.  It thought these colors were good "January" colors.

I had a wonderful crafty start to 2013 ... I got 10 scrap pages done and 4 cards.  I think my DH knew that I was sad it was my last Holiday Vacation day so he was being sweet about me crafting all day.  It was nice.  Good way to get ready to get back into the chaos of the new year.   It's all good though.

This is for this week's Verve Sketch on SCS.   I've been trying to play every week since I got my Verve Stamps.  It's a good way to be motivated to use them.  Not that I wouldn't but you know how it can be to get new stamps and then they sit in your stash....LOL!   This is also my first card for the 100 by 100. 

I can't tell you much about the paper supplies because the papers were gifted to me.  The stamps are Verve Stronger Love, AMuse Studio French Roast Ink, Colorbok Metal Accents, Xmas Red Stickles

Welcome 2013

Woohoo!  Happy New Year!  I'm looking forward to all the scrapping and stamping for 2013.  Believe it or not,  I already have my first scrap pages done for this year!  I had some great inspiration.   This is page 2 of a layout.   This sketch is from Sketch ~ N ~ Scrap.    I was just introduced to this site from a friend (Melina) and I found some great sketches!   Hope to be back soon with more pages :)  

Of course, these CUTE photos are my puppy Bella.   She's 6 months now and full of fun.   She loves squeaky toys and this red one - Bobo,  is her favorite, LOL!
