Bee Happy!
It's HOT and sunny here in Ohio today, typical Memorial Day Weekend. Thanks to Jen, my gal pal on the SCS Recycle thread, I'm having fun playing with this CUTE little flag waving bee from Stampendous! He was perfect for this week's Memorial Holiday. The sketch is from Your Next Stamp Challenge #43. It was great because I got to use my new star background embossing folder. Enjoy! Supplies: Stamp: Stampendous, Paper: SU! CS Tempting Turquoise, Cool Carribbean, Real Red, Summer Sun, Stickles: Silver, Star Dust, Misc Ribbon, SU! Markers

Still Got the Blues
Only this time it's not from the weather, although it's STILL raining in Ohio! The Challenge this week at Mark's Finest Papers - Speedy Cats Friends Challenge was to do a Monochromatic Blue Card. Now usually, this is a technique I wouldn't try because I'm color challenged but since I'm pushing to try new ideas, here it is. Thanks to Jen and Laurie from the SCS Recycle thread, I had some CUTE Blue paper from Amuse. It's my last Gluber for the Ribbon Flower and the punch is one that is fun but I don't get it out alot, SU! Bird Punch. The sketch is from the Weekly Sketch Challenge #164 at Lizzie Ann's Designs (turned sideways). Enjoy! Supplies: Amuse Ocean CS, Blueberry Vintage, Amer Crafts Blue Ribbon, SU! Bird Punch, Amuse Assrtd Buttons

Dreary Day Outside
so bright colors came out inside! I'm not usually a pink fan but this bubblegum pink from Amuse is definitely cheerful. Teamed up with Lime and it's looking like summertime. I was wishing but first we have to get through Spring rain. Today's sketch is from Sketch It Saturdays #106 at Unscripted Sketches. The paper & stamps are Amuse. I couldn't wait to use the puffy butterfly I found this week. IRL he matches really well, just doesn't look so in the picture. Thanks for stopping by! Supplies: Amuse Bubblegum Polka Dot & Lime CS, Amuse Stamps Just Because, Amuse Ink Lime, Amuse Lime Organdy Dot Ribbon, Darice Embossing Folder
Life Beautiful
Well tonight just before ice cream and movies with JT, I found a couple card challenges I wanted to complete. The sketch came from Sketch Saturday! It's another cute one. I like to play their weekly sketches because they usually have square cards and that's fun and different. I also used the recipe challenge at Sugar Creek Weekly Challenge, this week called "3-2-1". Idea was to use 3 designer or patterned papers, 2 diecuts and 1 charm. That worked great for this card. I was still playing with "Glubers" making Ribbon Flowers for the Design Delight make your own flowers challenge I finished earlier. I wanted to use some of the BasicGrey "hello lucious" paper I splurged on and I brought back out the Amuse stamps for the sentiment. Thanks to Angie from SCS Recyclers thread, I actually had a charm to add. Supplies: BasicGrey "hello lucious" paper, Amuse Hand Scripted and Just Because Stamps, Amuse Ink Bermuda, SU! Choc Chip CS and Ink, SU! Eyelet Border Punch, CTMH Green Assrtd Buttons, Organdy Breeze Ribbon & Mixed Bloom Flowers, Queen&Co Teal Blue Pearls, Misc Charm

Friday Night Fun!
Woohoo! Something about time in my craft room on a Friday night! Always a good way to start the weekend. Tonight I found a couple fun card sketches to take advantage of. The card on the left is for my boss who will no longer be my boss on June 1, boo! She's wonderful and I wanted to be sure I took the time to send her a card and tell her how much I appreciated her. The card sketch was from CPCM Tuesday Sketch Challenge #108. I was inspired by the lace I received in a package from my SCS friend Angie. It was just the perfect length to complete the 2 cards. The stamps are from CTMH & Hero Arts. The cards on the right are for a friend of mine whose fault it is lately that I'm hooked on Amuse (Hi Samantha!) and my Mom. All paper, stamps and Ribbon - Amuse. The card sketch is from Create with Connie & Mary . They are diehard SU! fans so my card didn't meet their requirements on the blog but I had saved the sketch to use. Aren't those charms CUTE?! My latest addition for cards - charms. My friend Kari on SCS gifted me the large eyelets and they were just perfect for these. Supplies: (Card #1) Paper - The Paper Company Weave Aqua, BasicGrey "hello lucious", Stamps CTMH Blessed, Hero Arts, Queen & Co Pearls. (Card #2) - Paper Amuse CS & Polka Dot, Stamps Amuse Beautiful Botanicals 2, Hand Scripted, Amuse Lime Organdy Dot Ribbon, Misc Charms & Punches
Welcome to my "New" Crafty Corner
I love to scrap and stamp! I started in 2002 with my first Scrapbook of my trip with Brandon to Finland. What an AMAZING place to visit. I still love that scrapbook although it was my first. I'm a self-taught stamper and scrapper SO I'm still learning. In 2003, at a Scrapping Expo I discovered Stampin' Up. At that time, I kept my scrapping which was 75% Creative Memories and stampin' which was 100% SU! very separate. Through time, I began to realize that I didn't have to keep my supplies separate and could use all for both hobbies. I also began to branch out and discover new companies I was passionate about. In 2005, I discovered Close To My Heart and it worked for me for both stamping and scrapping. I slowly began to reduce my stash to only CTMH. It's worked really well for me as I was not good at color matching. As my boys have grown, I've begun to have more time to play which has provided more time to discover new products. I've also developed a fondness for Challenge Blogs so this is where I will be posting cards and pages I come up with from that Inspiration! Stay Tuned!
