Wow!

Wow!  I got a Blog Award from one of my Crafty Girl Blog Friends Carolina.   How nice of her to think of me.  She picked 5 of us from the Blog Hop Group who have fewer followers than some of the others ... trust me ... they have lots of followers because their blogs are AMAZING!   LOL!   I figure practice makes perfect ... not to mention,  this is my hobby so it's all just fun.   Here are the "rules" for this award:

The idea of the Leibster award is to bring attention to blogs with less than 200 followers. So, in the spirit of good fun, I am passing this award on to five other bloggers. Please stop by and encourage them by leaving a little love on their creations.

For the 5 blogs I'm presenting this to, please .....
1. Show your thanks to the blogger who gave you the award by linking back to them.
2. Reveal your five picks for the award and let them know.
3. Post the award on your blog.
4. Bask in the love from the most supportive people on the blogshare-other bloggers.
5. Finally and the best rule of all..........have fun and spread the love!

Here's the Blog Friends I'm sending this Award to!   Check It Out:

Hello

Hi from Sunny Florida!  I'm here this week for the Annual Arctic Cat Show.  They're a client of mine and they're rolling out their products for next year.  Gotta keep the "day job" going well so it supports this stamping/scrapping habit of mine, LOL!     I made this card prior to leaving for this meeting.   The sketch is from MOJO Monday #226.   I was using some of the acrylic card bases from CTMH,  always fun to come up with something with those.

Waving "Hi",  Stay Inspired!

Friends!

Sometimes you don't realize what a blessing it is to be "missed".   These last 2 weeks have been crazy-busy for me getting ready for this customer event here in Florida for this week.  I didn't realize that it's been so long.  Fortunately,  before I left,  I got a sweet package with some stamped images from my friend Melina (scs: Mepylant)  from our Crafty Girls Blog Group.   Just thought I'd post the card I put together from one of the fun images she sent me!  Thanks Melina!

The Art of Kindness

I love the stampin' community.   It's a Super group of Gals who are thoughtful and fun.  Every time I see this SU! stamp I lovingly think of all the friends I have in Stamp/Scrap Land.  They really never cease to surprise me and I always hope that I can be as good to them as they are to me...  Probably not but I try.

At first when I saw this sketch I wasn't sure because I'm not always good with square cards but I do like how it turned out.   I found some Basic Grey Sweet Threads paper with pretty colors and added the bird from SU! Language of Friendship.  One of my favorite punches is the SU Bird punch and I was glad to have these stamps to use that punch more often.

The sketch is from Friday Sketch Challenge #10

Oohhh.... I LOVE Lists

Ohhh...If you're anything like me you're constantly making both mental and actual lists on a daily basis.  Call me wierd but I love the check marks next to the items when they're complete.  A friend of mine sent me this link this morning to the 30 Days of Lists Blog run by 2 ultra organized women who post lots of ideas and prompts for lists.  Whether you put them in a Smash Album, Art Journal or just notes for yourself,  there are lots of fun topics!   The first 100 to sign up are registered for some cool prizes so check it out ... and get listing!

Pink and Pretty

I probably wouldn't have been using pink and lime green & stamping flowers this weekend without some prompting as the snowing and blowing put me in a blue snowman stamping mood, LOL!   BUT the Great Gals over at Perfect Sentiments challenge this week is to make a card for a friend and be inspired by a pretty white veranda decorated in pink with lovely green leaves surrounding it.  I thought these colors were perfect for this inspiration.

The card sketch came from Card Patterns #152.  This AMuse Studio Grass Shimmer is one of my favorite shimmer colors.  Stay Inspired!

Because You're So Nice

For my B-Day,  Samantha,  the GREAT Gal Pal that she is gave me some new AMuse Studio Burano Paper, Ink and Ribbon to play with.  What a super fab b-day gift!  I finally had time and the creative MOJO to make my first card with it.  Love it!  I'm looking forward to playing with this again AND of course getting more of the colors.  The posies on the top are from a new MS Punch I found in the bargain bin for $5.  Love a deal.   This fun sketch is from Paper Secrets first "CYAO" Challenge.  Every weekend there will be a new sketch to use.  I liked this one and I hope to get another chance to use it again.    Stay Inspired!

You Warm My Heart

Happy February 5!  Welcome to another round of the SCS Crafty Girls Blog Hop!   You won't want to miss this one as this month we're sharing LOTS of good ideas with our Recipes of Love theme.   My Valentine is for a Secret Sister &  I'm hoping shes' going to enjoy the warm & fuzzy MOJO this treat brings.  I put together a Hot Cocoa Set.   We both live in Midwest/Northeast so usually this time of year,  hot cocoa is a welcome sight as the snow and wind brings cold temperatures and ice.  Who wouldn't want to sip some warm chocolate and think Summer,  LOL!   I found the cutest little Cocoa jars at Marshalls,  bought "To Go" Cups with lids,  added marshmallows, spoons and mints and just for fun, cup holders I saved from my favorite Panera drinks.  I wrapped it all up in cute packaging and sent it hoping she has fun enjoying this Valentine Treat.

Be sure to check out that other SCS Crafty Gal Blogs for more Recipes of Love.

For A Friend

Today I'm feeling very blessed to have SCS (Splitcoast Stampers) in my life.  Not only have I made some GREAT friends there over the years but I've recently met some new friends who will be added to that list!  Today I got to have coffee with Zella (SCS: Russnzella) and we had such a FUN time chatting.  I'm sure we'll get together again soon.  I also have a wonderful friend Sami (SCS: Sami02USC).  We met during a round of Secret Sisters (DSS) and have been best friends ever since.   I wanted to alter a journal for her for her AMuse Studio business.   Her fave color is pink so that was easy but I had used different stamps for the front panel originally.  I cut all this out on one of my road trips and just never put it together.   Today I'm going to get to see her too (YAY!) so I wanted to get this done.  I decided to use my FAVE AMuse Studio stamps and change out the front panel.   I was inspired to get this done for her by the Gals at the A Muse Studio Challenge Blog because this week's challenge is to make Valentine Treats and this is my treat for Sami (just a few less calories than a candy one but hopefully none less sweet for her).

Supplies:  AMuse Studio Paper - Kraft, Pink Gingham, French Roast Shimmer;  Stamps:  AMuse Studio tweet heart;  Ink:  AMuse Studio French Roast, Lime, Bubblegum,  AMuse Studio Organdy French Roast Ribbon,  AMuse Studio French Roast Button Assortment
