Spring Break!

Ok, so I have to admit,  I'm still on Spring Break!  It's actually "vacation" for me but it sounds good to say Spring Break, LOL!    This year for Spring Break we went away for a few days and came home to hang out for a few days as well.   Trying to save $$ for all the big graduation expenses that will soon be headed our way.  It's just as fun because we all have things we want to do at home.   Of course,  I want to stamp and scrap so that's just what I did this afternoon, completing several new card creations.

I started with this week's Card Pattern's Sketch #160.   I just happened to have some new - VERY CUTE - petite polka dot cards from AMuse Studio that were calling my name.   I decided to use the colors for The Paper Players Challenge #90.    This card also qualifies for the challenge over at Twisted Tuesday #2 because I didn't use roses.   These Bermuda Buttons are some of my favorite color ...  Thanks for stopping by to check it out.   Amazingly,  I just might have another card to upload to my blog this week!   Gotta love Spring Break.

Supplies:  All AMuse Studio -  Petite-Polka Dot Card Base,  Green & Blue Gingham,  Stamps - friend to friend, handscripted,  Ink - Grass, Fern, French Roast,   French Roast Silky Crush Ribbon,  Meadow Mix Flowers,  Bermuda Buttons, Butterfly die, Pearls

Happy Springtime!

We're celebrating Spring with our annual Spring Break get-away.   I loved being outside today in 65 degrees and sunshine.   We had the chance to visit the Cincinnati Zoo.  Great zoo to visit if you haven't been there - go!  I love Spring,  especially all the flowers.   The rest of this week however it's supposed to rain so I chuckled at how perfect my card is for today.   I got this adorable image from Barbara for our Unidentified Friends Image Swap.   The duck is from Gina K.   I added clouds from AMuse Studio dies, sentiments from CTMH and the paper is BoBunny!

I hope you're enjoying Spring time!

April Showers ...

bring May Flowers!

It's the 5th of the month and time for our SCS Crafty Girls Blog Hop!   I always like this time of the month.  This month however I struggled and it wasn't for lack of a GREAT challenge because I had several ideas.  Unfortunately,  I waited until the last minute and it just seemed like it was more of struggle to get done than I expected,  LOL!   That's what I get for procrastinating.  Diane came up with a great theme.

The sketch is from this week's Mojo Monday #235.   I used AMuse Studio butterfly and cloud dies for the AMuse Studio Blog Challenge and I made sure to use "Clouds" for the Twisted Tuesday Challenge.

Be sure to check out the other Crafty Gals Blog posts for our April Showers Blog Hop!

Happy Birthday PS and KC

Not too long ago one of my friends on our scrappin' blog posted about a site that had a weekly scrap challenge - Paper Secrets.   She had played the first round and they were starting a 2nd round of "Scrap Your A-- Off".   Every week on Wednesdays they post a page sketch and several items to use for that sketch and you have a week to get the page done and posted.   It's been great fun and really motivating for getting scrapbook pages done!    This past weekend,  it was the 3rd Birthday Bash for Paper Secrets.  One of the challenges was to make a B-Day Card with their Blog colors.   I decided to play this challenge and I sent the card to Kathy who referred us to Paper Secrets for scrapping as her birthday is upcoming.

I decided to use the sketch from Perfect Sentiments and to keep the sentiment encouraging with "Make A Wish".   So Happy Birthday Paper Secrets and Kathy C!

One Person

Earlier this week I had the chance to talk with my previous boss.  She is a terrific lady and I really appreciate that we're still friends even though we don't work directly together any longer.  I do miss her!   I made this card for her.   The sketch came from Paper Secrets CYAO#8 Challenge.   My card is also for the challenge at  the AMuse Studio Challenge Blog .    Stay Inspired!
